About Qualicare Durham Region

Qualicare Durham Region is a nurse-led, CARF-accredited home care organization expanding its clinical services under a new Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) contract. We provide professional, recovery-focused care to injured workers who require in-home services across the Port Hope/Cobourg region.

Role Summary

PSWs provide essential personal care and support to WSIB clients recovering from workplace injury or illness. Care is delivered under the direction of nursing and rehabilitation professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily activities
  • Support safe transfers and positioning
  • Follow care plans and report changes in condition
  • Document care accurately
Qualifications
  • PSW certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in community or complex care preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong professionalism and communication skills
Compensation
  • $21–$25/hour, based on experience and acuity
