Job summary

A healthcare organization in Ontario is seeking a Permanent Full-Time Social Worker. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Social Work degree and experience in community health services. Responsibilities include managing mental health assessments and facilitating support groups. Bilingualism and knowledge of electronic medical records are assets. Qualifications

Permanent Full-Time Social Worker

Internal/External

Manitouwadge Family Health Team is now accepting applications for a Permanent Full-Time Social Worker.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Social Worker with Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited University and counselling education or,
  • Registered Social Services Worker with counselling education or;
  • Applicant with equivalent education in counselling and patient navigation, who is eligible for registration membership with a recognized College
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Meditech an asset
  • Computer and Keyboarding skills an asset.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience in a community based or clinical health service organization
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience with assessment, treatment and management of mental health problems commonly seen in primary care
  • Experience facilitating group programs
  • Case management/system navigation skills and a willingness to research community resources
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently both independently an as a member of the team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time‑management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) an asset
