Performance Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Content Strategy, the Performance Marketing Coordinator at Canlan Sports is responsible for supporting the execution and reporting of paid digital advertising campaigns. The role involves deploying, coordinating, and monitoring advertising across platforms like Google Ads and Meta to enhance sports communities and deliver exceptional participant experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Deploying and coordinating paid digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads and Meta.
  • Implementing approved creative, copy, audiences, and budgets provided by the Manager, Content Strategy.
  • Monitoring campaign delivery, pacing, and spend to ensure alignment with assigned budgets.
  • Conducting routine checks to ensure campaigns are active and optimized.
  • Collecting and organizing performance data for reporting.
  • Building and maintaining reporting dashboards and campaign documentation.
  • Addressing performance anomalies, delivery issues, or platform concerns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Paid Media Execution & Coordination
    • Execute paid advertising campaigns across Google Search & Performance Max, Meta, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
    • Set up campaigns using provided briefs, ensuring correct targeting placements, budget, and timelines.
    • Maintain campaign, pacing, and delivery to avoid over- or underspending.
    • Perform QA checks on live campaigns to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
  • Reporting & Data Collection
    • Report daily, weekly, and monthly on performance data from platforms and analytics tools.
    • Maintain standardized reporting dashboard and track metrics like impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, and conversions.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms and reports.
    • Prepare performance summaries for internal review.
  • Optimization & Recommendations
    • Provide actionable recommendations for improving performance, efficiency, and resonance across content pillars and business objectives.
    • Implement A/B testing for various content elements to maximize performance.
    • Collaborate with SEO specialists to analyze keyword performance and inform content strategy.
  • Platform & Tool Management
    • Own the setup, tagging, and tracking of campaigns using UTM codes and social tracking tools.
    • Maintain dashboards and marketing analytics tools for real‑time performance monitoring. Assist in testing and implementing new digital tools for enhanced measurement accuracy.
Qualifications And Education
  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Digital Media, Advertising, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in analytics, digital marketing, paid media, or media research.
Abilities, Attributes, And Experience
  • Experience in sports, recreation, or audience‑based industries an asset.
  • Proficiency in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager; certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Organized, reliable, and capable of following processes closely.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
