Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board (DSB) is looking for a self‑motivated & energetic individual to join our industry‑leading organization which works towards the delivery of high‑quality services and programs to the residents of Manitoulin‑Sudbury Districts. Created by the provincial government, the DSB is responsible for overseeing and managing a range of services divested to the municipal order of government, including Ontario Works, Community Housing, Paramedic Services (Land Ambulance), Non‑Urgent Patient Transportation, and Early Learning and Child Care Services. Our DSB is looking for your help to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the residents of Manitoulin‑Sudbury districts. With three main departments, Integrated Human Services, Paramedic Services, and Administration, and over 200 employees, we service a large geographical area totaling 45,000 square km. Our organization is responsible for the development and execution of annual budgets exceeding $50 million. We are currently looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Patient Transportation Attendant. The position will be in Little Current within our Non‑Urgent Patient Transportation Service. The Patient Transportation Attendant (PTA) will actively participate in the mobility needs of patients while providing non‑urgent transportation to in‑patients of medical facilities. Most of the patient transportation will be from one medical facility to another. Being responsible for all aspects of transportation the PTA will operate a stretcher‑capable transport vehicle and multiple mobility devices, utilizing a variety of travel routes to timely, efficiently, and safely arrive at pick‑up locations and destinations. The PTA will assist medical escorts during the transfer where applicable. The PTA will also be responsible for documenting all pertinent information related to the patient transfer, and other dealings through the course of their day to assess the effectiveness of this service.
Salary: $19.11 – $19.58/hr
Temporary Market Wage Adjustment: $5/hr
Current Overall Salary: $24.11 – $24.58/hr
