Job summary

A packaging solutions provider is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to support the development and commercialization of efficient packaging solutions. The role involves managing packaging concepts with vendors, conducting performance tests, and handling existing packaging systems to address quality issues. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's in Packaging Engineering and have 3-5 years of relevant experience. This is an onsite position located in Ottawa, Ontario with a pay rate ranging from $45/hr to $50/hr.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in packaging engineering.
• Familiar with industry test standards: ISTA and ASTM.
• Ability to write and implement packaging SOP’s and WI’s.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of packaging concepts with vendors.
• Coordinate packaging performance testing per ISTA standards.
• Direct development of packaging sketches and specifications.
• Provide optimum trailer loading configuration.
• Create and maintain packaging specific part numbers in PLM system.
