About the job Over Head Crane Operator - Licensed

We are hiring licensed overhead crane operators for our manufacturing client in Vaughan, ON. The role requires a strong understanding of crane operations, and safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.

Duties

  • Operate cranes to lift, move, and position loads as required by project specifications.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication.
  • Perform routine maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations and any incidents that occur during operation.
  • Assist in rigging loads and ensuring proper balance before lifting.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements

  • Valid crane operator certification/ license is a must.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to crane operation.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness skills.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork on-site.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.

Experience:
