A leading pediatric dental organization is seeking a reliable and compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will work with children to create a positive, fun experience during dental visits. Requirements include X-ray and CPR certification, and prior experience is preferred but not mandatory as training is available. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
  • Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.

Who We’re Looking For:

Requirements:
  • X-ray and CPR certification is required

  • Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
  • Full-time role (30+ hours per week).
A Typical Day as an Orthodontic Assistant:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
  • Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
  • Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
  • Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.
Schedule:
  • Some Saturdays may be required
  • Daytime hours – No nights!
