All-inclusive care is everything from cooking, cleaning, driving to and from appointments, administering medications, offering emotional and behavioral support, going on fun outings, and more. We are currently looking for a Part-Time Operations Manager to join our amazing team!

Position purpose

The purpose of this position is to oversee assigned employees— including completing all required training, supervision, and performance management; this position also ensures all standards of care are maintained as outlined in all WorkSafe, CARF, licensing, and contractual obligations for assigned worksites.

Responsibilities
  • Member of Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee or Labor Management Committee.
  • Provide supervision, training, and performance management for a team of employees.
    • Complete performance reviews.
    • Complete feedback, documentation, and discipline, as needed.
    • Schedule and complete all required initial and on-site training with assigned employees.
    • Supervise any assigned practicum students.
    • Identify probationary period dates and ensure training and employee items are completed prior to this date; extend probationary periods as needed.
  • Standards of Care Tasks
    • Support worksites with care plan creation and maintenance.
    • Support worksite specific policies and employee meetings.
  • Complete Quality Record Reviews quarterly.
  • Complete quarterly persons served check-ins.
  • Facilitate and oversee intake, transition, and discharge planning for persons served.
  • Ensure agency policies are maintained, including year-end filing.
  • Support WorkSafe standards as required.
  • Create and modify agency templates as needed.
  • Stay informed on all standards of care as required (e.g., MCFD standards of care, Island Health licensing standards).
  • Stay informed on CARF standards (Section 2 – Program Standards of Child and Youth Services Manual and Employment Community Services Manual).
    • Stay informed and up to date on any standard changes/revisions in the manual.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in a related human/social service field, three years of recent related experience, and one year minimum experience in a supervisory or administrative role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience as a team leader and supervising employees in a union setting.
  • Valid Driver's license (equivalent to BC Class 5).
  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Must obtain and maintain screening through the MCFD and the Ministry of Justice.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with extreme behaviors and/or mental health concerns aged 0-19.
  • Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice.
  • Experience in an administrative/managerial role.
  • Experience creating and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experience with crisis management and high-stress environments; strong problem solving and self-care practices.
  • Advanced communication skills and professionalism; ability to adapt to the needs of the person served.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience managing in a union environment.
Compensation, hours & location

Compensation starts at $38.83 per hour. This is a part-time position of 20-25 hours per week. The successful applicant will be working at multiple locations.
