Qualifications

Remote Work: 100% Remote Work Home-office based

You will work with food donors, non-profits, and other community stakeholders to get rescued food to those who need it most—while reducing environmental impact.

What You Will Do
  • Build Regional Impact: Cultivate strong partnerships with non-profits, food donors, and other regional stakeholders, to maximize food rescue efforts in British Columbia.
  • Be a Voice for Change: Represent Second Harvest at events, conferences, and speaking engagements to raise awareness and inspire action.
  • Support Our Partners: Deliver exceptional service to our network of donors and non-profits, resolving issues and providing training to strengthen their food rescue capabilities.
  • Team Management: Lead regional operations staff in British Columbia fostering a positive team culture while setting objectives, assigning accountabilities, monitoring performance, and conducting annual reviews.
  • Drive Innovation: Collaborate with teams to improve our operations, including identifying enhancements to our Food Rescue App.
  • Measure What Matters: Track data, report on progress, and implement quality improvements to optimize our impact.
  • Amplify Our Mission: Work with Marketing & Communications to generate media interest and boost visibility.
  • Lead the Movement: Organize and support community food distributions, pursue innovative approaches to food redistribution, and expand our footprint across British Columbia.
