The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our Mining Client in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and more.

Responsibilities:

The successful individual will be working at our Sudbury based sites with occasional travel. Reporting to the GM of North Americas this person is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, ensuring that all processes related to the storage and suply of explosives are executed efficiently and safely. The role involves planning, resource management and the coordination of operational logistics to meet customer demands while adhere with compliance and safety policies and regulations.

  • Analyzing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline
  • Ensuring timely management of support in accordance with service level agreements
  • Leading and coordinating all new projects, including pre-implementation work as well as post-implementation reviews.
  • Developing case studies, papers or research
  • Work with stakeholders to build Product/Service offering models and establish implementation workflows
  • Take up product application stewardship
  • Interacting directly with customers across various departments: geology, operations, IT, technical services and more
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years Mining Industry experience with knowledge in any of the following areas- continuous improvement, Drill & Blast, Operations, Technical Services or others
  • Proven track record in an operational/ explosives mining environment
  • Experience with emulsion manufacturing equipment, in-hole delivery systems and storage solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, operational planning, quality management, business and safety and compliance expertise.
