Position Overview
A well-established, privately held industrial services organization is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, customer relationships, and internal team coordination.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical credibility within instrumentation, pressure/temperature control, and chemical injection systems.
The role is relationship-driven and operationally focused, suited for a professional who can lead a small, experienced team while acting as a trusted interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and support a team of four, providing guidance, accountability, and operational oversight.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure customer commitments, service delivery, and internal workflows are met.
- Maintain and improve operational processes, communication, and efficiency across the business.
Customer & Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key customers, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Engage directly with customers in person, by phone, and via email to support technical discussions and issue resolution.
- Coordinate internally to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and addressed.
Technical & Industry Support (Core Requirement)
- Apply strong working knowledge of instrumentation, pressure and temperature control systems, and chemical injection applications.
- Act as a technical resource in customer and internal discussions (hands-on configuration not required).
- Provide informed input into operational planning, system support, and service execution.
- Support sales and commercial activities through customer interaction and scope clarification.
- Assist with pricing discussions and solution alignment.
- Act as a liaison with vendors and suppliers
Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight
- Oversee inventory quantities to ensure availability while managing costs and obsolescence.
- Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, procurement priorities, and forecasting aligned with operational demand.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Proven experience in instrumentation, industrial controls, automation, or chemical injection environments.
- Demonstrated operational leadership experience with direct people management.
- Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Solid understanding of pressure and temperature control systems and chemical injection solutions.
Preferred
- Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification (asset, not mandatory).
- Exposure to SCADA and MODBUS systems.
