Position Overview

A well-established, privately held industrial services organization is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, customer relationships, and internal team coordination.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical credibility within instrumentation, pressure/temperature control, and chemical injection systems.

The role is relationship-driven and operationally focused, suited for a professional who can lead a small, experienced team while acting as a trusted interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Leadership
  • Lead and support a team of four, providing guidance, accountability, and operational oversight.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure customer commitments, service delivery, and internal workflows are met.
  • Maintain and improve operational processes, communication, and efficiency across the business.
Customer & Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key customers, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Engage directly with customers in person, by phone, and via email to support technical discussions and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and addressed.
Technical & Industry Support (Core Requirement)
  • Apply strong working knowledge of instrumentation, pressure and temperature control systems, and chemical injection applications.
  • Act as a technical resource in customer and internal discussions (hands-on configuration not required).
  • Provide informed input into operational planning, system support, and service execution.
  • Support sales and commercial activities through customer interaction and scope clarification.
  • Assist with pricing discussions and solution alignment.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and suppliers
Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight
  • Oversee inventory quantities to ensure availability while managing costs and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, procurement priorities, and forecasting aligned with operational demand.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Proven experience in instrumentation, industrial controls, automation, or chemical injection environments.
  • Demonstrated operational leadership experience with direct people management.
  • Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to build trust and credibility.
  • Solid understanding of pressure and temperature control systems and chemical injection solutions.
Preferred
  • Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certification (asset, not mandatory).
  • Exposure to SCADA and MODBUS systems.

Compensation
