Job Brief

Lowfoot’s data platforms process millions of records per day. As a Lowfoot Operations Developer, you’ll be responsible for keeping our applications running smoothly. You’ll keep an eye on incoming and outgoing data, keeping our clients informed as needed. You’re a Java developer who enjoys solving real‑world problems in real time.

Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with our Product Owner and development team to maintain and improve operational stability. Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring production applications and servers, identifying and triaging issues to the development team.
• Designing, implementing, and improving monitoring systems and operational tools.
• Communicating operational status and issues to clients.
• Development of application fixes and improvements to system stability.

Skills Required

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related.
• 2+ years of software development experience in Java/J2EE, preferably in an agile environment.
• Very proficient in web application development.
• Experience in front‑end web development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) is an asset.
• Experience with:
  • Relational databases, particularly MySQL.
  • One or more Java Application Servers, including Tomcat.
• Systems administration experience an asset.
• Strong analytical mind and strong problem‑solving experience.
• Excellent communications skills are a must. Experience communicating directly with clients would be an asset.
