The role:

This role is responsible for planning and executing purchasing of goods and materials to meet both internal and external demand. In addition to this other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the supply of standard items to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Check purchase requests against inventory records, or stock on hand
  • Running purchase requisition reports daily and converting as necessary
  • Create purchase orders on local vendors for specific demand requirements and expedite the orders to meet delivery dates for internal and external customers when necessary
  • Confirm vendor acknowledgements, verifying delivery meets required customer dates
  • Recording order confirmations and late notifications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Preferable knowledge of Global Principle or Intercompany Model would be an advantage

The Person:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Previous extensive SAP experience - min 2 years at high level
  • Mature understanding of Supply Chain Management including Incoterms, Warehousing and Logistics
  • Ability to manage competing demands with the ability to work towards tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be capable of working independently, in a fast paced environment whilst liaising closely with major stakeholders to ensure accurate, on time delivery of customer requirements
  • Strong communication, cooperation interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Understanding of customer and supplier development trends and technologies
