Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Post-Basic Education prior to working in the Department.
• Not eligible for those who have received Post-Basic Education Funding from PHC for the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.

Skills

Proficiency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures

Teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration

Interpersonal skills for effective interaction

Conflict resolution skills

Education

Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BCCNM

Minimum of 1-2 year medical/surgical experience
