Find Furniture Bank (Find) is part of Homeward Trust Holding Company (HTHC) a not-for-profit organization that operates companies in support of the mission of ending homelessness.

Findis a social enterprise, operating in partnership with Homeward Trust Foundation (HTF) and housing-focused community agencies. Find’s goals are to provide essential furnishings free of charge to individuals and families who are moving out of homelessness and to supply low-cost, quality furniture and housewares for sale to the public.

Find’s creation has its roots in the realization that access to affordable furniture was a key component in allowing the homeless to be housed, and housing sustainability.

Find is a social enterprise with two goals: providing essential furnishings free of charge to individuals and families who are moving out of homelessness through Housing First, and supplying low-cost, quality furniture and housewares for sale to the public. Find is looking for a passionate and excited Online Marketing Coordinator to join our team.

About You

At your core, you should be passionate about helping people. We work with a diverse group of people to help our most vulnerable friends transition out of homelessness and into their new home through the Housing First program and human connection is a must. You can flawlessly communicate across multiple platforms, work independently in a high energy environment and you are organized and detail oriented and you love not just achieving goals, but crushing them!

You bring a passion for creating compelling and effective marketing campaigns that drive engagement and sales. With strong communication skills and attention to details, you excel at developing and executing strategies across various online and offline channels including email, social media and print advertising.

What You’ll Do

The successful candidate will be responsible leading and curating online merchandising as well as coordinating and executing the online customer experience through the sales of donated items through our website and social media channels. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing Shopify operations related directly to the online store.
  • Regularly pull and curate items for the online store.
  • Collaborate with other teams (Retail, Processing, Logistics) to coordinate support for the online store.
  • Stayup-to-datewith the latest trends and best practices in online merchandizing and e-commerce.
  • Monitor pricing strategies from other online retailers in the industry.
  • Responding to customer queries when neededthrough social channels.
  • Supporting withadministration ofFINDs website and ensure that it is up-to-date andoptimizedfor search engine visibility.
  • Create and curate engaging content for the company's website and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with other teams (Retail, Processing, Logistics) to ensure thatShopify operationsalign with overall business goals andobjectives.
  • Working with department leaders to create compelling and relevantcontent.
  • Support the Online Marketing Supervisor with other duties asrequired.

Online store responsibilities include:

  • Fulfilling orders
  • Sourcing, cleaning items
  • Researching items
  • Strategic display and arrangement of items
  • Taking product photos
  • Adhere to branding guidelines and procedures
  • Working closely with our online platform
  • Cleaning,maintainingand organizing the online area and equipment
  • Fulfilling shipments and deliveries

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in online marketing, preferably in e-commerce or a related industry.
  • Excellent photography skills
  • Combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and report on campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of the state of homelessness in Edmonton and across the country is an asset.
  • Experience working with Shopifyis an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Must pass criminal record check including vulnerable sector clearance.
  • Valid AB driver’s license and reliable vehiclerequired.
