Occupational Therapist (Part-Time) – Winnipeg, Manitoba

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and client-centered Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The OT will provide assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions to support clients in achieving greater independence, safety, and quality of life. This role is ideal for a clinician who values collaboration, flexibility, and meaningful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments focusing on physical, cognitive, and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client goals and needs
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and daily living skills
Client Care & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and equipment
Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Support
- Work closely with multidisciplinary team members, including PTs, nurses, social workers, and support staff
- Participate in case conferences, care coordination, and discharge planning
- Provide recommendations for assistive devices, home modifications, or community supports
Regulatory & Professional Standards
- Ensure compliance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)
- Maintain professional boundaries, ethical practice, and client confidentiality
- Stay informed on best practices, research, and continuing education
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and understanding of rehabilitation principles
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience in community care, home care, long-term care, or outpatient rehab
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment, cognitive rehab, and functional assessments
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Schedule & Hours
- Part-time, with flexible scheduling
- Hours may include weekdays, with occasional weekend availability based on client needs
