Overview

The Program and Position

The Employment Hub is a dynamic, trauma-informed, and client-centered program designed to support adults who are currently involved in, or have had previous involvement with, the criminal justice system. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Community Residential Facilities. This role works closely with the team to support clients transitioning from correctional settings into the community. The successful candidate will apply occupational therapy models to address client needs related to mental health, addictions, physical health, and daily living.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments (cognition, addictions, physical health, daily living).
  • Develop and implement client-centered intervention plans.
  • Facilitate referrals and liaise with healthcare providers and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program development and evaluation.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations, including those with mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Strong understanding of community resources and healthcare systems.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
