A prominent healthcare organization in Thompson-Nicola Regional District is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to collaborate within a dynamic healthcare team, focusing on managing care for older adult patients in a hospital setting. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with Hospitalists, General Practitioners, and other Nurse Practitioners to manage the care of a designated group of inpatients. The NP will be responsible for directing clinical care, engaging in both short‑term and long‑term planning in collaboration with the inter‑professional team, and coordinating transitions of care. We are currently recruiting for 1.8 FTE positions. A key focus will be the management of older adult patients admitted to the Hospitalist program, particularly those with sub‑acute conditions and complex chronic care needs. Experience in managing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia will be considered an asset. The NP is expected to work autonomously at a high level, while also consulting and making appropriate referrals to physicians and other members of the healthcare team as needed.
Hours: 08:00 – 20:00. Rotating schedule, including weekends, statutory holidays, and potential on‑call shifts. On‑call may be required.
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour – $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.
