A healthcare services provider is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for a part-time role in Ontario. The position involves managing patient care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team. Overview

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NP) specialized in Clinic settings to join our team near Owen Sound, Ontario. We’re ready when you are!

Working as a member of the inter-professional team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide specialized services in the management of patient care. Working in collaboration with other Corporate Health Services professionals to enhance the provision of quality care, including autonomously diagnosing and treating illnesses. This role also involves ordering and interpreting tests as well as prescribing medications and performing medical procedures within the legislated scope of practice. You will be consulting with a Physician or other Corporate Health Services professional when the patient\'s condition requires beyond the NP’s scope of practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized services in management of patient care as part of an inter-professional team.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses autonomously within the NP scope of practice; order and interpret tests; prescribe medications; perform medical procedures as authorized.
  • Consult with a Physician or other Corporate Health Services professional when patient conditions are beyond the NP’s scope.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Health Services to enhance quality of care.
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 5 years of experience in a clinic setting; able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience with written documentation, care plans and dictation
  • Able to prescribe controlled substances as authorized by CNO
  • Ability to manage, direct and provide comprehensive health care for individuals and families who visit the clinic
  • Lead the development and implementation of education and awareness programs
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
  • Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B and COVID-19
  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest X-ray within the past five years
  • Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check or Criminal Record Check as a condition of hire
Position Details

One-year contract with a possible extension, starting in May 2025. Role is in-clinic three days a week (part-time hours). Pay range: $100–$125 per hour. Accommodations are not provided.
