Overview

Nurse, Community Health - Prince George, Nursing Station

Role details: Part-time 18.75 hours per week with 2-, 3-, and 4-week rotations. Salary listed as $94,724 – $114,261 per year. Location: Prince George, BC – Nursing Station. Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group. The organization is the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).

Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public health, primary care, and urgent and emergent care.
  • Deliver health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • ACLS and PALS certification upon hire; Basic Life Support Certification Level C.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
  • Remote Community Health Nurse remote certification (RNC) with BCCNM, or working toward RNC.
