Why this role is important?
Nurse

We are looking for nurse to:

  • Take blood samples.
  • Assess vaccination status and health status to offer indicated vaccines such as influenza, COVID, pneumococcus, herpes zoster or based on the travel destination.
  • Offer various services related to hypertension, diabetes or anticoagulant therapy.
  • Provide instruction on the use of different blood glucose or blood pressure devices.
  • Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner. Work with the pharmacy team to develop the service offering.
What you’ll do:
  • Assess health status and provide appropriate vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster
  • Identify and offer appropriate vaccines based on the travel destination
  • Offer various services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy
  • Provide instruction on the use of different devices such as glucometers, blood pressure monitors etc.
  • Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner
  • Work with the pharmacy team to develop the nursing service offering
Requirements
  • Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec
  • Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Be familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec — Québec immunization protocol) and travel health
