Job summary

A local children's health organization in Mississauga is seeking an experienced Infant Hearing Screener to perform newborn hearing screenings and counsel parents regarding results. Responsibilities include performing screenings in various settings, maintaining equipment, and documenting results accurately. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified Infant Hearing Program Screener.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) in hospital and community settings.
  • Interpret and communicate results clearly to caregivers.
  • Maintain screening equipment and adhere to infection control standards.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Solid knowledge of speech-language development and audiology
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently

Education

College Diploma or University Degree related to Early Childhood Education or similar
