YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, you will be part of the Procurement Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing professional, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.

  • Assist with daily procurement tasks, including purchase order creation, contract administration and supplier communications.
  • Support the development, implementation and review of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance and other related teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations, negotiations and performance reviews.
  • Contribute to compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
  • Learn to use IT management related software and tools.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.
  • Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional Supply Chain related certification.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and Agnico Eagle’s values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office or Kirkland Lake Office.

You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
