Reporting to the Environmental General Supervisor, you will be part of the Environmental Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into an environmental professional, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily environmental tasks, including monitoring, sampling, inspections, audits and reporting.
  • Support the development, implementation and review of environmental programs and policies.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance and other teams to promote a strong environmental culture.
  • Contribute to compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
  • Learn to use environmental related software and tools.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.
  • Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional environmental certification.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).

Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 7/7 or 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine.
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other traveling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
