Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Ethernet and IP networks.

Location Address: (Hybrid) 3 days

Contract Duration: 12 months

Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE? yes, possible.

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday - yes, possible.

Project

Cloud secure web gateway migration – Migrating from on-prem proxies to a cloud proxies and migrating between cloud proxy instances.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

• 5 years of experience with Ethernet and IP networks
• 5 years of experience with Linux internals, ACLs and OS level security protection.
• 3 years of experience network security principles, protocols, architectures, and technologies such as SWGs, SSE (Secure Service Edge) and ZTA (Zero Trust Architecture).
• 3 years of experience in implementing network security tools such as proxy servers, IDS/IPS, anti DDoS tools, etc.

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Experience with email security
• Experience coding Python, Shell or Perl scripts
• Experience in cloud, IaaS, PaaS

Best VS. Average Candidate

A standout candidate brings strong network engineering expertise, deep understanding of security principles, and relevant industry certifications. The best candidate is someone certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).

Average candidate is someone with background on server and system administration.

Education & Certificates

• Post-Secondary Education is required but would be preferred in a related field
• Computer/network engineering.
