Job Description

Job Description As the National Sales Manager - Valves, you will be responsible for leading the national valve team and setting the strategic direction for the division. You will work closely with our Profit Centre Managers across the country to secure projects and MRO accounts.

Additional duties will include:

  • Leading the national valve team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management
  • Setting the strategic direction for the national valve division, including sales goals and market penetration strategies
  • Working with Profit Centre Managers to identify and win large-scale projects and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) contracts
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with End Users, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and Contractors
  • Collaborating with our vendor partners to develop and implement national and regional programs
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of Westlund PVF’s valve product offerings and industry standards
  • Ensuring the team follows all safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications

College and/or University degree preferred

A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the wholesale distribution or manufacturing industry, with a focus on valves or related industrial products

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading a successful sales team

Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity

Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit

Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make sound business judgments

Strong desire to strive for operational excellence

Ability to travel nationally as required
