What you’ll do

TELUS Health MyPet is a digital platform where veterinarians can provide virtual care to clients and their pets from the comfort of their own home. This mobile app and service empowers pet owners to be proactive about their pets’ health care and improves their access to quality veterinary care.

Telus Health MyPet is welcoming Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our satellite location office space where RVTs assist our virtual veterinarians in fulfilling and dispensing prescribed medications from telemedicine consults. Our goal is to build a world class offering and have you contribute to helping us achieve our vision.

Clinic Location: 120 Commerce Valley Dr E Thornhill, ON L3T 7T2

We are looking for someone who loves the idea of building something new.

Here’s How:

• Prescription fulfillment and shipping from the satellite office space, calculating medication dosages, and providing dosage instructions for clients.
• Take payments for prescriptions and shipping
• Engage with TELUS Health MyPet clients over the phone and address client concerns regarding the health and well-being of their animals related to TELUS Health MyPet virtual encounters and follow up care
• Utilize veterinary medical knowledge to accurately triage and make recommendations based on patient needs
• Provide patient instructions to clients and share educational materials. Maintain relevant and comprehensive medical records
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, equipment and supplies
• Work with our team to support clinical quality and governance

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

• 3+ years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician
• An RVT who has passed the VTNE and is registered with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
• Legally eligible to work & reside in Canada
• Ability to work regular shift hours
• Have experience in counseling clients on various aspects of animal care, such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care and preventative healthcare recommendations
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
