A municipal government is seeking Music Instructors to teach group and private lessons for various age groups. The ideal candidate will have a degree in music, proven teaching experience, and excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans and providing leadership in music programs. Evening and weekend availability is required. Our Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for Music Instructors to teach group and private music lessons for children, adults and parent participation classes for babies and toddlers. Music programs include, but are not limited to: private and group voice lessons for children and adults, early years and preschool aged music programs, adult group music lessons. Evening and weekend hours are required for this opportunity.
If you have experience teaching singing, choir, music and movement for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, or private and small group lessons in a specific instrument, please connect with us through this application process.
The successful candidates will have professional training in music, substantial experience as instructors with their respective instruments, knowledge of community recreation philosophies and instruction techniques, and experience working with children and adults. Candidates must also possess excellent leadership, organizational and customer service skills.
