Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.80 FTE)

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $50,685 to $89,441, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions: Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

Job Summary

Music/Band Teacher, Grades K-6. 0.80 FTE temporary contract, starting September 9, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process to November 28, 2025, or return of the incumbent.

Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Music Education and Band at the Elementary level.

This position is scheduled for Music/Band Grades K-6 on Mondays through Thursdays. Please note that all work will be on site.

Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
