A regional healthcare organization is seeking an MRI Technologist to manage MRI suite operations and perform imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have a background in MRI Technology and certifications from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. This full-time position includes a dynamic schedule with call and shift work required, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a collaborative environment.

With considerable latitude for initiative and independent action, the MRI Technologist has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all designated MRI suites including instruction of students and direction of staff while in the area i.e. hospital personnel, maintenance, and cleaning staff. Ensuring information of the patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlating clinical history with examinations to be performed, the MRI Technologist assumes responsibility for complex procedures designated via indirect supervision of the radiologist. To fulfill this function, the technologist will perform imaging procedures and patient care duties. The MRI Technologist must consistently apply all safety rules and techniques applicable to the magnetic and radio frequency fields in use in the MRI environment ensuring technologist, patients, co-workers and the public are adequately protected at all times.
