Job description
Overview

Role & Responsibilities

Our world-renowned sightseeing driver guides, experts in storytelling, connect guests with the fascinating characters and history of the wild places we visit. Through our comprehensive training program, driver guides ensure guests leave with lasting memories of Banff and Jasper national parks.

  • Deliver a safe and comfortable transportation experience aboard Brewster's motor coaches by performing detailed pre/post trip inspections, driving attentively at all times, and adhering to Brewster driving standards as well as federal and provincial regulations
  • Maintain all logs and/or paperwork required by Transport Canada daily, including Vehicle Inspection Reports and Electronic Logging Device/Driver Log Book
  • Provide safety information to guests regarding the motor coach and ensure passenger safety during boarding, on board, and disembarking
  • Maintain the interior/exterior cleanliness and appearance of motor coaches
  • Load and unload luggage from motor coach storage areas (up to 50 lbs / 32 kg)
  • Support the team by completing other tasks as assigned by operations staff
  • Keep guest experience and safety top of mind and seek ways to connect and enhance the experience
  • Uphold a high standard of environmental stewardship in accordance with Pursuit’s “Promise to Place”
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Valid Class 2 License with Q endorsement or equivalent with fewer than 3 demerit points
  • Ability to comply with National Safety Code regulations, US Department of Transport regulations, Transport Canada regulations, and corporate policies including Drug and Alcohol policies
  • Fluent and articulate in English, both oral and written
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs / 32 kg; ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
  • Second language proficiency is a strong asset
  • Genuine appreciation for the Canadian Rockies and driving on scenic mountain highways
  • Any valid regulatory certificates (e.g., first aid, WHMIS, Worksafe) will be considered
  • Interest in working in iconic, unforgettable locations and exploring scenery and wildlife in the Canadian Rockies
  • Enjoy collaborating with a global team and participating in team events
  • Ability to work independently in and around our national parks
  • Willingness to work in a remote, natural environment with opportunities for physical activity
  • Weekend/shift flexibility; comfortable with a physically demanding role (walking, stair climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance)
