Job description

On behalf of our growing Barrie client, we are recruiting for a Molding Operator position. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Injection Molding Machines, inspecting components, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

• Location: Barrie, ON
• Shift: Afternoon
• Type: Temporary to Permanent
• Pay rate: $20.65/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines efficiently and safely
• Perform visual inspections of molded parts to ensure quality
• Trim, clip, and degate parts as required
• Record production data including cycle times, scrap counts, and downtime
• Prepare packaging for the next shift
• Follow job- specific procedures and documentation
• Assist with reclaiming inserts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete tasks according to production schedules with minimal supervision

Quality Control

• Monitor product quality throughout the molding process
• Ensure compliance with BOM specifications and quality standards
• Accurately log job tracking, timekeeping, and productivity metrics

Health & Safety

• Wear required PPE at all times
• Follow and promote company health and safety policies
• Report equipment or material issues to the Supervisor immediately
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
