Job summary

A leading manufacturer in sustainable solutions located in Windsor is seeking a Millwright / Mechanic. Key responsibilities include installing and repairing machines, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining electrical systems. Candidates must have a Red seal industrial millwright/mechanic certification and ideally 2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance. Qualifications

  • Must have Red seal industrial millwright/mechanic 433A certification.
  • 2 years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience, ideally in the paper industry.
  • Electrical experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Install, examine, replace or repair machines in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to equipment.
  • Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors.

-Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day shift (ie. 7AM-3PM); must be available on call as needed on weekends/afternoons.

Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Windsor, as the Millwright / Mechanic :

-Install, examine, replace or repair machines in a timely manner.
-Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as required, including minor electrical repairs and welding.
-Pick up parts as necessary, using the maintenance van (personal vehicle is an asset. If used mileage will be paid).
-Adhere to maintenance schedule. Make recommendations for optimizing schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Report any unusual scheduling issues to supervisor.
-Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
-Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
-Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
-Use proper lockout/tag out procedures when required, never allowing a machine to be operated without proper guarding or when the possibility of injury is evident.
