Job summary

A healthcare authority on Vancouver Island is looking for a Mental Health Nurse to provide direct nursing care and mental health services in a rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate has recent psychiatric nursing experience with adults, is registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, and holds current CPR certification. This role involves developing and implementing clinical services in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year's recent psychiatric nursing experience with adults.
• Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation model and treatment methodologies.
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and consumer rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and core mental health services.
• Develop, plan, implement, and maintain clinical services.
• Contribute to monitoring and enhancement of the physical site.
