Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing excellent patient care and administrative support. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. Experience with surgical bookings would be valuable. We are covering a sick leave in the immediate, but would consider the option to make this position permanent, depending on circumstances.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
  • Handle the phone system, answering calls, and addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Some assistance with billing and insurance verification processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
