Job summary

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Prepare reports for both operational sites as well as Head Office
  • Assist with the standardization and streamlining of systems and processes used to gather, analyze, interpret and report financial / statistical data
  • Prepare financial transactions in compliance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Assist with the accurate and timely completion of month end close reporting
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Assist with the provision of quarterly and annual financial, audit and tax reporting requirements, including disclosure information
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
Requirements:
  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra‑provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions is preferred
  • Motivated self‑starter, able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams and external clients and contractors
  • Superior financial skills, providing overall support to the Financial Accounting or Accounts Payable departments
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience with Dynamics AX is an asset
