A leading mining company is seeking a dedicated individual for a role focused on the organization and distribution of maintenance materials at the Detour Lake Mine. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in an industrial/mining environment, familiarity with inventory management processes, and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications. This position offers a 14/14 work schedule with accommodations and meals provided on site.

Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Senior Reliability Specialist, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for the organization and distribution of tools and materials at the Detour Lake Mine. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Organize, service and distribute maintenance materials associated with the operation of mobile maintenance;
• Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities;
• Responsible for the component or part refurbishment process;
• Review inventory requirements (min/max, catalogue);
• Assist planners and Supervisors with material tracking;
• Manage material kitting & staging areas;
• Monitor critical spares;
• Monitor return to stock and scrap process;
• Assist with shutdown/long term material planning and staging;
• Ensure all spares hold integrity;
• Update weekly material availability list;
• Perform research on items in the ERP (SAP) system and assist in physical counts and audits.

Your Qualifications:

• 5 years’ of experience in an industrial/mining setting;
• Familiar with kitting and staging process;
• Familiar with inventory management software applications such as JDE;
• Valid G Driver’s License;
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

• Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada
