Russell Tobin's client, an online marketplace company, is hiring a Remote Marketing Manager III.

Employment Type : Contract

Location : Remote

Duration : 4+ months with possible extension or conversion

Pay range : $65 / hr - $69 / hr

Schedule : Mon – Fri

The Consumer Retention Marketing team focuses on nurturing engagement and retention of customers through email, push notifications, and in-app messages. We develop consumer lifecycle programs that drive growth and customer delight through personalized messages, rewards, and offers tailored to user behavior and preferences.

About the Role

As a Contingent Worker on the Consumer Retention team, you will manage communications and programs to increase customer retention and engagement across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging. You will build CRM journeys that adapt successful US campaigns to the Canadian market.

Responsibilities :
  • Understand the strategy behind US CRM campaigns and adapt them for the Canadian market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, data analysis, and product teams, to understand campaign setup and ensure successful adaptation.
  • Use omni-channel marketing tools (e.g., Braze) to build complex CRM journeys with triggered campaigns, automations, static, and dynamic content.
  • Manage the end-to-end development and execution of email and push notification campaigns, including creative review, stakeholder collaboration, audience segmentation, and feedback incorporation.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Support creative development and optimization efforts, leveraging internal creative resources.
Requirements :
  • 4+ years of experience in customer retention, email, or growth marketing.
  • Deep understanding of ESP/Marketing Automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and experience deploying complex CRM programs.
  • Experience with data analysis, targeting, and program measurement, preferably with SQL proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of technical stacks, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, data, and analytics teams.
  • Proven track record of developing profitable retention or cross-channel marketing programs and exceeding performance targets.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently while building strong internal relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills for creating data-driven marketing campaigns from start to finish.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools, segmentation, and complex data systems.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Periscope).
