East Coast Credit Union is seeking a Marketing and Communications Associate to join our team! Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, this position helps enhance member engagement and supports the credit union’s overall marketing strategy. The role includes assisting with the coordination of various marketing initiatives, maintaining digital platforms, and delivering timely communications to staff and members. You’ll contribute to the planning and execution of campaigns across traditional, digital, and emerging channels, while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Marketing and Communications team.

You would…
  • Ensure time‑sensitive updates, such as temporary branch closures, are communicated promptly to our members through digital channels.
  • Monitor the department’s primary contact inbox, respond to inquiries, and route tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Facilitate the sharing of daily news and updates through East Coast CUs’ intranet to support internal staff communications.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for marketing materials, internal communications, and digital platforms, maintaining brand voice and quality standards.
  • Assist with updating content across the website, mobile app, digital screens, and other channels to ensure accurate, consistent messaging.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across digital, print, email, and social media, including assisting with brief development and coordination with agencies or partners.
  • Help monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages.
  • Create small‑scale design assets (e.g., posters, social graphics) using Canva.
  • Support marketing strategy through research, analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate with vendors, designers, and suppliers on advertising and production needs to keep campaigns and projects on track.
  • Maintain the department’s SharePoint site, manage marketing collateral inventory and shipments, and provide administrative support, including monthly budget tracking, invoice processing, and marketing report coordination.
  • Develop presentations and reports that highlight marketing initiatives and results.
  • Perform other marketing and communication duties as needed to support the team and organizational goals.
You have…
  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
You are…
  • Experienced in assisting with marketing campaign development and execution.
  • Comfortable working with web content management systems and updating organizational websites.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Service‑oriented and collaborative with a strong focus on supporting members and team goals.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic HTML/CSS or light front‑end coding skills are considered an asset.
