Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)

Hopehill Society – Vancouver, BC

Hopehill is a non‑profit organization dedicated to providing clean, safe, and affordable housing for low‑income seniors in Vancouver. We are seeking a dynamic and professional Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our marketing and fundraising efforts and help enhance our visibility in the community.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about making a meaningful impact. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Marketing Lead in preparing marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies and campaigns
  2. Develop marketing and communications materials, including articles, publications, website content, communiqués, pamphlets, and email newsletters (both print and digital)
  3. Manage and monitor social media platforms and create engaging website content
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand management and fundraising initiatives
  5. Liaise with staff and residents to gather stories, insights, and content for marketing campaigns
  6. Organize, maintain, and manage marketing collateral/assets
  7. Administer and update CRM software
Qualifications
  1. 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications and design; fundraising experience is an asset
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  3. Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), website design, social networking, and email marketing
  4. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma and other design/multi-media software
  5. Experience with digital photography and video editing is an asset
  6. Strong writing and copy‑editing abilities with excellent attention to detail
  7. Understanding of basic business, marketing, and fundraising concepts
  8. Excellent time‑management, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
  9. Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills; experience working with seniors and faith communities is an asset
  10. Ability to identify and respond to emerging trends
