Job description
Overview

We are looking for an individual with aspirations of becoming a commercial real estate broker. This individual will work in our Downtown Vancouver office and work closely with the Market Intelligence team. The Market Intelligence Coordinator role is the start of the Avison Young training platform for individuals to develop into high performing commissioned sales professionals.

The successful candidate will work with the Market Intelligence team on a day-to-day basis and must possess strong administration and task management skills, exhibit excellent organizational skills, demonstrate an eye for detail, and must thrive in a fast‑paced, team environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will participate in mentorship and guidance from the brokerage team and ultimately progress to become a licensed real estate professional in the capacity of a sales assistant.

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $45,000 to $50,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through a bonus. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including relevant education / training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare market lease and purchase surveys for client requirements as requested by brokers.
  • Actively manage the availability database and ensure that all information is complete and accurate by contacting listing brokers and landlords.
  • Assist the brokers as necessary in providing relevant information for pitches and valuation.
  • Actively track lease and sale comparables by analyzing monthly deal sheets, exchanging information, and monitoring various online platforms.
  • Update charts and market presentations provided by third party resources.
  • Assist with the quarterly office reports and any other ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • Attend monthly office division meetings to provide updates on topics such as significant properties that are being marketed, notable transactions, and general real estate news.
