Job description
  • Develop/maintain ICAM post-processors for new CNC machines, including 4-5 axis milling machine, 5 axis Mill-Turn machine and Lathe.
  • Facilitate CNC post-processor implementation to support CNC programmers on post processor requirements and provide instruction & documentation.
  • Create CNC Machine model using CATIA for NCSimul virtual machine and Job Setup.
  • Create virtual kinematic machine model based on the CNC machine configuration, collision matrix and 3D geometric representations in NCMOTION.
  • Create virtual machine control files to interpret, verify code syntax and drive kinematic components movement to ensure seamless virtual-to-physical manufacturing workflow.
  • Support CNC programmers to resolve any issues regarding post-processor output and NCSimul virtual machine simulation.
  • Apply machine learning algorithms and techniques to manufacturing process to support optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect machining data and apply NLP tools to analyze and manipulate data to optimize, validate and process using Python & scripts.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, clean and transform historical data from different machines connected to WINCC server.
Candidate skills & requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma from a recognized education or equivalent experience.
  • Must be proficient with CATIA, ICAM CAMPost and NCSimul software.
  • Knowledge of CAMPost macro language and NCSimul controller language.
  • Familiar with CNC G-code programming: Fanuc, Siemens 840D, WFL, Mazak, etc.
  • Understand CATIA PP-table configuration and the cutter location file - APT Source.
  • Strong Math skill with 3D vector & matrix operation and understanding of Machine configuration and kinematics.
  • Computer programming language (C/C++/C#/Python/VB/SQL) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and continuous process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AI concepts with the ability to apply data processing and techniques to real-world problems.
