The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager-level Consultant to join our Construction Claims and Disputes team. This is a pivotal role within HKA’s market-leading practice, offering high visibility with both clients and internal stakeholders, and the chance to make a tangible impact on complex, high-profile projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and organize project documentation and analysis, including schedules and as-built records.
  • Develop clear, data-driven graphics and reports to communicate findings.
  • Analyze labor, cost, and delay data to support claims and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare expert reports and court documentation; contribute to expert testimony.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Manage project teams, delegate tasks, and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Ensure quality, risk management, and compliance with HKA’s standards.
  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and promoting HKA’s services.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Construction, Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in relevant roles requiring expertise in scheduling, project controls, delay analysis, and other relevant construction skills.
  • Experience with Construction Documentation such as contracts, change orders, Construction Change Directives, Change Order Requests, RFI, submittals, daily reports, schedules, meeting minutes, etc.
  • Advanced experience with Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management abilities.
  • Experience in Construction Claims & Disputes strongly preferred
  • Experience in litigation support including Expert Report drafting preferred, not required.
