Job Description - Managing Applications Consultant - Integration Offer Leader (052545)

As a Integration Offer Leader, which provides Cloud, DevOps, and Agile related professional services to accounts and clients around the globe. Our Architects are responsible for playing a key role in architecting the digital ecosystem for the world’s leading business and organizations and also for leading, designing and implementing innovative digital software solutions.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and grow cross‑functional, multi‑level software teams towards a comprehensive vision for Cloud Integration.
  • Evangelise Cloud Native, Agile, DevOps and CI/CD to all levels of management, peers and organisations especially to those who aren’t used to those concepts.
  • Work closely with and inspire CXO level executives in major client organisations.
  • Advance Capgemini’s market position and service delivery excellence.
  • Align technology efforts to inspire and impact business outcomes.
  • Be seen as a role model in your community.
  • Be part of the GTM team to support and orchestrate deals in application modernisation and business transformation.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualification: Minimum 10 years’ experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2–3 years hands‑on experience developing innovative applications, leading agile teams preferably in product‑centric delivery models, and providing leadership for cloud computing transformations.
  • Experience explaining complex technical concepts to an executive audience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure; namely choosing platform components and assembling application and runtime architecture.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cloud Native platforms (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, VMWare TANZU) and containerising legacy applications in the public cloud; native or third‑party container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with micro‑service and event‑driven architectures, constituent technologies, and patterns.
  • Proficient in client acquisition & development and business leadership.
  • Should have a Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
  • Acute awareness in leveraging Innovation & Capability Growth.
Additional Preferred Experience
  • Experience with microservices/serverless frameworks, architectures, and patterns. Hands‑on experience with microservices development and design with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Java Spring Boot, Node.js, React.js, etc.).
  • Experience with writing Infrastructure as Code for the public cloud (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, AWS CloudFormation, etc.).

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and is not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Applications Consultants Responsibilities

Applications Consultants have expertise in a specific technology environment. They are responsible for software‑specific design and realisation, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client‑specific package based solutions (e.g. SAP, ORACLE). These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.

Required Skills and Experience (Applications Consultants)

You have a leading role in projects with strong client exposure. You are responsible for functional and technical guidance over the whole project or application lifecycle and you act as a client‑facing lead developer. You drive sales opportunities within your area of responsibility. You know future developments in several applications and/or technologies and you are seen as a subject‑matter expert within your unit and beyond.

  • Qualification: 12+ years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Certification: Should have SE level 2 and seeking level 3.
  • Should be master in Package Configuration.
  • Must have experience in Architecture Knowledge, Testing and Vendor Management.
  • Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge & Technical Solution Design.
