Job description

Reporting to the AEOI Vice President and working with staff in Canada and the Philippines, the Manager will be responsible for coordination of Enhanced Information Reporting Services (Chapter 3 / 1042 / US withholding) and standard FATCA/CRS Services: engagements for existing and new clients, coordination of reviews and remediation efforts, ongoing client servicing with calendarised deliverables, delivery to external service providers, and completion of annual regulatory deliverables.

A varied multi-tasking role which encompasses client relationship management, investor communication, and daily internal/external stakeholder management & communication combined with all relevant and associated team management and administration.

Qualifications
  • Degree qualified (preferably in a discipline relevant to Financial Services)
  • 6+ years experience in Financial Services and/or Fund Administration
  • Exposure to IRS W-form series, Chapter 3 withholding, Regulatory Compliance, FATCA/CRS, AML/KYC, and/or Investor Relations an advantage
  • Proven strong client relationship skills
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects / deliverables; excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Results driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in global teams and adapt to different communication styles
  • Experience supervising, training, or supporting junior staff

Main Job Functions/Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with team and reporting lines; preparing and providing progress and status updates and escalating items as required.
  • Coordinate and oversee validation of IRS W-form series and withholding statements, using specialized validation software.
  • Coordinate and oversee preparation of annual/monthly/daily deliverables, managing and monitoring timing and quality, including FATCA/CRS analysis and returns and 1042 data.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and team-level staff on technical items and queries. Assist team members in directing internal queries / escalations to appropriate contacts.
  • Research, analyze and provide recommendations for process improvements to increase operational efficiencies both internally and with external vendor(s).
  • Local AEOI portal registration/de-registration, communication and trouble shooting.
  • Review / approve deliverables and assist production where necessary.
  • Manage communications and ongoing relationships with AEOI clients, their investors, and other external and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage expectations and ensure that all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of Chapter 3 requirements and the Automatic Exchange of Information regulatory and compliance environment as it impacts service and/or clients, including industry research and analysis as required.
  • Managing and coaching supervisor(s) and team informally and via regular meetings; completing annual performance review and goal-setting process for each direct report.
