The Opportunity

The City is seeking a Manager of Roads, reporting to the Director of Operations, Public Works Department. This position is responsible for maintaining the City\'s road and sidewalk network. This role is key to enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing a safe transportation network for pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists.

Accountabilities
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the Division\'s operational and capital budgets.
  • Monitor and ensure the safe functioning and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, shared use paths, and related infrastructure.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, information, and advice to Council, peers, and the public.
  • Participate in various internal and external committees to provide input, guidance, and recommendations as required.
  • Review and provide commentary on residential, commercial, and open space development plans to ensure compliance with City policy.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours as needed.
