What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Operations Process Engineering acts as a lead and critical contributor to Technology & Enterprise Operations' (TEO) large transformation programs– to meet our core goals of enhancing enterprise operations. RBC’s TEO Transformation Office is responsible for leading transformation initiatives and enabling accelerated outcomes across our Enterprise Operations Teams (Cash, Payments & Trade, and Finance Shared Services Operations). Our team is specifically accountable for identifying process improvement opportunities and working with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that result in improvements to efficiency, productivity, digitization, and risk reduction. We achieve this through continuous improvement methodologies, problem solving, effective stakeholder engagement, critical thinking and data-insights for compelling story telling.

What will you do?
  • Lead comprehensive process improvement efforts using best in class tools and frameworks:
    • Process review and mapping
    • Pain point identification and root cause analysis
    • Solution brainstorming, design, and implementation
  • Leverage cutting edge technology and AI solutions to re-imagine our enterprise operations
  • Partner with data teams to identify key metrics, extract data insights, support business case development, and monitor performance
  • Collaborate with Business & Technology partners to ensure successful project execution, including capability deployments (e.g. Gen AI, AI Agents, RPA)
  • Embrace and drive innovation & continuous improvement mindset within the Operations Process Engineering team
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Innovation, Technology Management or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement, transformation initiatives, or process mapping
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings
  • Structured problem-solving, curiosity, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Keen interest in leveraging Data and cutting technology and AI solutions to drive insights & optimize operations processes
  • Self-motivation and ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Basic to Intermediate Proficiency Data Analysis & Visualization
Nice-to-have:
  • Process improvement certification (in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent)
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar)
  • Knowledge of or experience in business analysis or product ownership
  • Interest in and basic understanding of emerging technologies (Generative AI, RPA, Intelligent Automation)
  • Familiarity with Financial Services Operations, especially Cash, Payments & Trade, and Finance Shared Services Operations
