Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Five years comprehensive Materiel Management experience in a health care or related setting, with three years in a middle management position.
  • Extensive experience with supply chain related key performance measures and executive reporting.
  • Experience with Lean Principles considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system preferred.
  • Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in health services, business, public administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred SCMA, APICS or Plog designations.

  • Demonstrated poise, aptitude for communicating professional information, and ability to deal with matters of an urgent or emergent nature.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize information systems technologies for communication, word processing, spreadsheet applications and other common management needs.
  • Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with other individuals in superior, peer, subordinate and client positions.
  • Demonstrated interest in professional growth.
  • Demonstrated commitment to optimizing the contribution that Materiel Management can make to the care of individual patients and to the health care system as a whole.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
  • Interruptions to respond to questions are common; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province.
