Position Summary
The Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping and communicating The STEAM Project's brand, ensuring that families, schools, and community partners clearly see the value of our programs. This role combines strategic planning, creative direction, and hands‑on leadership to promote TSP’s camps, makerspace, and community initiatives. The Marketing Manager oversees brand expression across all platforms and environments, supporting family engagement, managing creative teams, expanding business opportunities, and assisting summer operations.

Event Planning & Promotion
- Plan, coordinate, and attend events, school fairs, and community showcases to promote TSP programs to families, schools, and businesses.
- Plan and manage family outreach ideas and events, both on‑site and off‑site (e.g., Halloween events, community fairs, seasonal activities at Edward Ave, etc.).
- Develop and oversee seasonal promotions, including family discounts, giveaways, and incentive programs to encourage registrations.
- Build relationships with school administrators, community organizations, and potential partners to increase visibility and referrals.
Family Engagement & Retention
- Develop and implement creative ways to show appreciation to loyal families through special events, recognition initiatives, and personal touches.
- Coordinate family appreciation campaigns, milestone celebrations, or “thank‑you” surprises that strengthen long‑term relationships.
Parent & Family Experience
- Continuously improve the family experience at the Makerspace, ensuring the space is welcoming, engaging, and aligned with our brand.
- Gather feedback from parents and implement enhancements to communication, signage, decor, and customer touchpoints.
Creative Team Management
- Lead and coordinate the work of internal and external creative professionals, including graphic designers, content creators, photographers, and videographers.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all photo and video content creation during camp seasons and year‑round programs.
- Lead and/or manage contracted specialists such as SEO consultants and digital advertising managers, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.
- Supervise the web developer and ensure TSP’s website remains current, functional, and reflective of our programs.
- Plan and approve the design and production of branded merchandise, including apparel, promotional items, and gifts, ensuring consistency with TSP’s visual identity and audience appeal.
Social Media & Digital Marketing Oversight
- Oversee TSP’s organic social media presence across platforms, ensuring consistent tone, voice, and engagement with families and the community.
- Collaborate with content creators to plan and approve posts, stories, and short‑form videos that highlight programs, events, and student experiences.
- Lead and/or collaborate with digital advertising contractors to plan, monitor, and optimize paid campaigns for brand awareness, registration, and retention.
- Review analytics and performance reports from both organic and paid channels, adjusting strategies to improve engagement and ROI.
Campaign & Brand Oversight
- Plan and write marketing emails for program promotions, seasonal events, and parent communications.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and community channels.
- Ensure brand consistency in messaging, visual design, and tone across all marketing materials.
- Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize reach and impact.
Makerspace Branding & Environment
- Advise on decor, furnishings, and visual elements to enhance the Makerspace environment in line with TSP’s brand identity.
