Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, IT Operations, the Manager, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations is a technical leader with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, cloud operations, and enterprise networking. The incumbent is responsible for the design, security, availability, performance, and scalability of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment. The Manager plays a key role in cloud strategy, infrastructure modernization, security, recovery, and network architecture, while leading and developing a technically skilled infrastructure team. This position contributes directly to the evolution and stability of the enterprise IT landscape as Mevotech transforms it’s technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations & Management
  • Lead and manage hybrid IT infrastructure, including on-premises systems and Microsoft Azure cloud environments
  • Ensure high availability, performance, security, scalability, and reliability of all infrastructure platforms
  • Oversee incident, problem and change management processes aligned to ITIL best practices
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Azure architecture, cloud migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Identify, prototype process improvement opportunities within Infrastructure discipline with the application of proven Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions
  • Maintains infrastructure life cycle planning, execute cloud and on-prem migrations, system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities
  • Own and manage backup, restore, and data protection strategies, ensuring compliance with recovery time objectives (RTO/RPO)
  • Manage and test IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
  • Supports strategic planning and roadmap development with the Director of Infrastructure
  • Participate in architecture reviews, and modernization initiatives
  • Serve as an escalation point for major incidents and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage vendors and service providers to ensure SLAs and performance commitments are met
Networking & Systems
  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, MPLS, routing, and Wi-Fi
  • Troubleshoot and support network hardware and systems, including firewalls (FortiGate preferred), routers, switches, access points, servers, and virtual machines
Leadership qualities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure team
  • Assign work, monitor performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Identify skills gaps and support training and certification development
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess business needs, manage system access, and support technology initiatives
Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with minimum 2 years in leadership roles
  • Proven people leadership experience managing technically skilled infrastructure or cloud teams
  • Expert-level experience with Microsoft Azure, including hybrid cloud environments
  • Proven experience with Azure IaaS, networking, security, and identity
  • Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
  • IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, Public and private network design
  • Deep technical expertise in servers, virtualization, networking, storage, identity services, and monitoring tools
  • Experience in hybrid infrastructure environments (on‑prem and cloud)
  • Experience with high availability, backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with automation, PowerShell, Python, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
Networking & Security Expertise
  • MPLS, OSPF, routing protocols
  • Firewall configuration and management (FortiGate preferred)
  • Network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Security best practices in hybrid cloud and enterprise environments
Certifications
  • Preferred certifications: ITIL, Azure AZ-104/AZ-305, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CISSP
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Primarily office-based with standard working hours; may require additional hours to meet project deadlines or address urgent financial matters
  • On site 4 days in office
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Minimal physical demands, primarily involving sitting, using a computer, and other office-related activities
